“If you're going to tell people the truth, you better make them laugh; otherwise they'll kill you.”  —George Bernard Shaw

Welcome to Pete’s Big Blog

Now that the show is really starting to take off, my little brother (he looks older, but don’t let the hairline fool you) wants to add a medium to the daily broadcast. So while he’s running that big mouth of his for three hours a day, I’ll be posting to this blog. And we’ll both try to post to it even when the show’s not on, so check here for previews of upcoming guests and topics.

We’ve got a lot of fun new bits to try out on upcoming broadcasts, and some of them will have interactive elements. We’ll be looking for your feedback on the show and various topics it covers here, so read along while you listen from work or home, or check in when you get off the road.

hey whats wrong with big bussines? isnt pete employed by big bussines? i believe one of the uniqe things about america is the everyone has the opertunaty to become the “exception”. i also believe that every able bodied american should work and contribute what they can to keeping our country the strongest country on earth. how would you feel if you worked your ass off to build a company you were proud of. and now, because you fall into a higher tax bracket, its harder for you to expand your bussines, employ more people(who probably need healthcare, which you provide),and streanthen our economy. our country is built on business. so why make it harder for the average joe with an idea to become successful? why not make everyone who can, work? and take care of the people who cant. with more bussines comes more jobs and a stronger economy. everyone has the right to be happy. if building a big bussiness makes you happy, then well, thats your right. anyone can do it. you just have to want it enough to find it. and i cant spell worth a shit. peace out!

Great show. Blog is a plus. Don’t always agree with P, but like the dialogue.

Pete and crew, you all do a great job with the show. I love how Pete’s family gets involved how fucking American is that. Pete and Co, keep up the work, bring more specific issues to the table. Issues like education, tax reform and how we can get America to give a fuck all over again!

Where are the JOBS?!!!What the hell is going on in this Country? We are (present company obviously excluded) a bunch of damn SHEEP. It is becoming blatantly obvious to me that we are accepting whatever is put in front of us. Meanwhile we continue to be mired in mediocrity to the point that we will run the best Nation in the World, straight into the ground without a revolution.I could never make it as a politician, not many of us could. Still, I wonder why we continue, as a people to elect the same type of ridiculous neophytes again and again. What happened to the Country that we all grew up in? A Country with pride, not prejudice, a country with a strong moral fabric that didn’t throw the belief of our Fathers and of our Mothers to the wind? Where did the unity go that we had for our fellow human-beings and more importantly, our fellow Americans? I wish that every day could be a re-creation (A Groundhog Day) of 9-12-2001. If we do not all get it together and rise up against the border-line tyranny that we are currently facing, the American dream will go down in history, as an utter failure. I implore people to wake up. DO we lack the intestinal fortitude to stay home from work for ONE DAY to show Big Oil that they need us more than we need them? Are we so under the control of celebrity worship that we cannot stay home from the movies for a week? Stand-up America!!! Unite! We are all slaves to the machine, and it is high time that we STOP doing everything that we are EXPECTED to do, and make a ripple. After all, that is how a Tsunami starts, a ripple in the vast ocean. Does anyone care enough anymore to MAKE A DIFFERENCE? I do. Mike in Ga.

Mike, I love your love for this country, but keep in mind we are animals who once roamed the land in packs.  We are, as you put it, sheep.  Sad, I know.  I would love to change so many things in this country, even though some of the things are not so great, but all in all, it trully is the best.  The best way I know to do so is to get involved locally and work your way up the chain of command.  Find out who represents your district and hold that person personally responsible for his or her actions, and do it in a manner which will inspire others join you.  When you do, don’t do it in a threatning way that may harass, torment, or disturb your target, but in a polite way so as to get their attention but make them understand you mean business.  You can also contact your president at president@whitehouse.gov or Cheney at vice_president@whitehouse.gov to let them know you are watching their every move.  Some would say that a staff member reads their email, but I like to try first and then take another step.Words of revolution will only get the attention of the feds, so use it lightly.

Would you mind posting the list of top 20 iconic speeches? And if they are already up somewhere, can you point me in that direction?

    Thanks!
