Hilarious! I think the programming code for the new Tickle Me Palin Doll has been leaked.

  4. October 4th, 2008 | 6:31 pm

    yeah yeah,

its funny. I bet i could write a funny one for Barack O’Bama, too.

I get tired of the political slant of this show/blog sometimes.

    Big Brother Reply:

Adam, you’re free to go somewhere else. We get tired of you, too. Obama is a lot of things, but he’s not an idiot. Palin is a lot of things PLUS she’s an idiot.

    Adam In Texas Reply:

Please explain to me why you all think Palin is an idiot.

    B.C. Weasel Reply:

    Adam,

I think that most here are in agreement that Palin explains thoroughly herself why she is an idiot, or at least inexperienced and uninformed. Therefore I think it should be you who should be explaining why she is not an idiot instead of contributing to a thread with an open ended “jab” at the show. If you’ve listened to even a few broadcasts you hopefully have gotten the impression that people here are very willing to listen, I know I am. Convince me.

I’m with Brian also, but I hope you won’t take his invitation to go elsewhere. Stay and “open our minds.” Diversity is what makes debate.

    Big Brother Reply:

Evidently you haven’t seen any interviews with her, Adam? She doesn’t know what magazines she reads. She doesn’t know what Supreme Court decisions she disagrees with (nevermind naming them, she could even describe any of them, even in the vaguest terms). She doesn’t think it matters what causes global warming to fight it. I mean, my mom could answer all these questions. To be fair, I think my mom was once president of a local PTA chapter…

    B.C. Weasel Reply:

settle Brian, settle. Diversity is what makes debate, no?

    Big Brother Reply:

I don’t mind diversity of opinion if people want to talk about issues, but those who come on here and make assertions and use labels and just try to invalidate others, rather than making real arguments… they just don’t contribute to the conversation. There are so many other places where trolling is the norm in blog comments, please forgive me if I don’t want this becoming a lowest-common-denominator thugfest.

    Big Brother Reply:

Unless they’re clever and funny about it — then I have no problem. They just need to contribute to the conversation rather than try to squash it… that’s all I ask…

    steve, jasper Reply:

It’s just the old, outdated “shock jock” mentality that is finally dying.
A few (very few) still hang on to the ideals that if you scream loud enough, repeat a lie long enough, email something enough and say the media is liberal/conservative enough, everyone will begin to believe it enough.
Karl Rove at his finest! His days are numbered also, thank god!

yeah, maybe we should listen more to Rush, Hannity or O’Reilly because we all know they have no political slant whatsoever.
How’s come people think being Indie means you can’t ultimately choose one side or the other when it comes down to the final result?
Like it or not, we are a two party system at the moment.
For all the talk there is no viable third party candidate.
Change the system if you want to bitch about political slant!

    Big Brother Reply:

Well said, Steve. Indie does not mean you don’t have opinions or you don’t take sides. It means you don’t latch onto an ideology or a party, but you can still have values and views, and you can and should still walk whatever path keeps you closest to those, as you see fit.

Welcome to Talk Left, Pete. I hope your new show there will get you an audience with Jeanene Garafalo.

    steve, jasper Reply:

Pete gives opposing views more air time than any other host!
If you want to call him left then so be it but what do you call the rest of the rabble out there?

    John from Cleveland Reply:

You know what, even on Sirius. Both the talk left and right people at least tell you that they are all for that position at the beginning of each show. Sadly, the past few months have digressed into an Obama suckfest. I haven’t heard the Biden hate fest that I expected to hear. I mean, come on, Biden said just a few months ago that Obama has no experience to lead. Now he suddenly does and he can be on the ticket with him? Why haven’t I heard Pete jump on that one 500 times by now? Surprise.

    steve, jasper Reply:

Touche, now that you’ve raised the issue I’ll bet you a doughnut that Pete at least discusses it. More than any other host would do!
It’s as if when you call yourself an Indie you are expected to be an enigma and have no opinion whatsoever.
Life is full of choices and politics presents another one that someone will always disagree with.
The difference is, Pete lets people voice their disagreement without completely shutting them off.
Answer me this: Who would you rather listen to on political talk radio? Be honest!

    B.C. Weasel Reply:

there was a whole hour of Biden bashing a few days ago. Did you miss that John?

    E.

    John from Cleveland Reply:

    yes, I did.

    Big Brother Reply:

John, you are being so hack about this. Rather than make arguments, you just use labels. Stick someone somewhere on a spectrum so you don’t have to go at it over ideas. Even though we all know you are smart enough to do it, you seem too lazy to bother. We expect more out of you! We need more out of you, as one of the people with a wide array of strong disagreements, than pat answers and hackey potshots like this one.

    John from Cleveland Reply:

I am sorry, when is the last time I saw any picture that was not an anti-republican view on this website? We can pretty much agree that it has been leaning pretty left for a long time.

I do agree that something more substantive would be better, but I have been too busy with my job, my second job, dealing with a new puppy (labs are horrible!) and playing ice hockey at night to come up with anything original.

I have not seen one candidate that has come up with ANYTHING (a plan) that is not a complete suckoff to his base! All I see is that McCain is a continuation of Bush and big business and Obama is a crazy muslim with no experience…

Not one candidate has actually told America anything original or groundshaking at all. This election has turned into the same mudslinging crap that we are all used to.

    Big Brother Reply:

I think we agree on a lot vis a vis the candidates. This flowchart was hilarious, so I posted it. I would LOVE to post something equally funny about Obama or Biden, but I haven’t seen it. You all know my email (my first name @petesbogmouth.com), so pass along the suggestions! I’m not going to post something from a caveman point of view, but if it’s funny and decent, I’ll run with it.

Also, John, labs are great once they grow up. You won’t regret it.

    steve, jasper Reply:

I have a big black lab and he is the sweetest thing on earth!

Classic Republican John. When someone makes a good point, or a good joke about someone on the right, then you just complain about the slant of the media. Truth is Pete calls it down the middle more than anyone in Radio, period! He spent about 30 minutes to an hour taking calls for people to rip on Joe Biden last week. He openly admits he likes Obama but still will call him to the carpet on something that he does not agree with. He even has a thrid party segment to show case the other candiadtes like Mckinney(green), Barr(libertarian), and Nader(whako). So please, let’s not try to pigeon hole Pete or this show/blog because you don’t like the content. The fact is this; “Sarah Palin is an unqualified, Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity talking point spewing, Golly gee, Yu Betcha, empty headed HACK”. Just because you refuse to admit it, does not make it untrue. This is not from Pete or anyone else affiliated with the show. This just comes from me. I’m Nick from Iowa and I approved this message.

Palin and McCain’s repeated preaching about staying in Iraq until they are ready to govern themselves reminds me of a televangelist forecasting the second coming of Christ. ugh.

    Fettered Boons Reply:

There will always a gimmick to the madness.. with the flowchart we can now anticipate her moves with the ammount of attention she deserves (very little).

    B.C. Weasel Reply:

well said Fet. Interesting “handle.” Where did you get it?

    Fettered Boons Reply:

Here and there.. it usually just comes to me as I go along.

    B.C. Weasel Reply:

perhaps you’ve misunderstood me. I was referring to your “handle” (name) Fettered Boons.

    Fettered Boons Reply:

I know. I contemplate things from time to time and Fettered Boons (basically meaning shackeled reward) just came to me upon contemplating my constant financial struggle while the corporate screw-ups get bailed out.

    B.C. Weasel Reply:

a-ha!! question answered. tks. this is a simplistic, but comical reference for sure. good on ya.

    Hey Nick;

Be careful…you’ll start making us Iowans out to be highly informed, non-racist, intelligent people.

Republicans can’t go off talking points. If they do, they short circut and start getting pissed off and angry.

    Nick from Iowa Reply:

    Pete,
thanks for the warning. I will watch myself in the future.

I agree is the republicans work thier way off the talkingpoint they seem to freak out a little.

How about the debate last night?

    Pete from IOWA Reply:

I’m on the road right now. I listened to it. Listening to it, it sounded like McCain was in charge. But when I got the chance to watch it on YouTube, Obama ame across as confident, strong and prepared.

McCain came across as angry, spiteful and not ready for Obama to counter him.

The final three weeks should prove to be interesting. I still think Obama is going to win, but it’ll be closer than if the 3rd debate wasn’t held.

Sideshow Sarah is so cute! Why wouldn’t you want to vote for her alone and let the old guy come along for the ride?
The country needs a cutesy person in the White House right now or at least one foot in the door!
Heck, the Pakistan leader thinks she’s hot, so what else could we want?
I’d hire a food taster if I were McCain and got elected with Sideshow Sarah waiting for me to croak!

I wouldn’t particularly care how intelligent a woman is for a 1 night stand, but it would certainly come into play if I were to ask her to move in. Sarah is intelligent enough to memorize lines, but I doubt she has ever had an original thought. And if you want proof of unintelligence insert “intelligent design vs. evolution”
