PetesBigMouth on Indie Talk 110 Mon-Fri 2-5 EST
Dear Everyone Ever,
Please LISTEN to my new live daily 3 hour talk show ,”PetesBigMouth”, on Sirius Satellite Radio’s new “Indie Talk” Channel - Channel 110
(The channel is still labeled “Court TV” on your radio but that will change soon)
The show will air 2-5pm EST although it might be only 2 hours for the first couple of weeks
After 15 months hosting Comedy By Request , The Uncensored Comedy Countdown and Getting Late on Raw Dog 104 I have been offered and accepted a deal to host this new show.
I will still be doing my shows on Raw Dog. I’ll just be sleeping a little less but better knowing that my whole family gets health insurance which is rare for a comedian
The Channel and My Show…..
Indie Talk is being promoted as “politics without the politics.”
However my show will make fun of politics, politicians and the ideas of liberalism and conservatism and all other labels. I will be discussing anything in the news and hope to get a real dialogue going about Race, Religion, Sexuality ,War, Scandal and what some people refer to as conspiracy. I will have lots of different guests and take plenty of phone calls from my listeners.
I will also have comedians on as regular guests help me point out the absurdities of living in on Earth 2008 and keep 3 hours on the radio entertaining….
I will still be doing all of my dates opening for Artie Lange , warming up the audiences at The Colbert Report and I will mainly be doing my stand up at The NYC comedy clubs.
If you are not a Sirius Subscriber you can try it for free for 3 days here :
Pete, you’re amazing on-air personality, and I’m so glad you took this opportunity! I can’t speak for the rest of the Raw Dog listeners; but I say it’s glad to hear you on the air longer — even if it’s not necessarily Comedy by Request! (BTW, come to St. Louis you bald son of a buck)
Congratulations on your new show. My comiserations on the time slot you have been given. (I’m sorry to say that i will not be turning off the SeanHannityShow on Patriot144 to listen to your show live) I’m glad that IndieTalk replays your show. So when i have sirius on at that late hour, i’ll be able to listen to the replay.
Wanted to say great show just found it today, got on as soon as I called, had a great discussion and you asked me to be a lifeline. It is refreshing to hear a show where callers freely express what they have to say and are allowed to go on w/o being truncated.
Hey listened to your show on sirus on the Indie Channel, I really enjoyed listening. Also Dave Chappelle better be in that comedy tournament.
Love the new show.
I have 2 topics to suggest.
1)I would love for you guys to talk about the internet and how it is and will continue to effect politics.
2)Why can’t we vote on a Saturday. We should change the national voting day to the first Saturday in November. I think there would be a greater number of voters. What are your thoughts?
Good luck!

I just found this show about 15 minutes ago and I already love it.
I want a bumper sticker promoting the show! Everyone has got to hear this!
Congrats on the new show, Pete. I always hoped that Johnny Mac would have given you an extra hour, but this is 10 times the opportunity.
You have what it takes to make “Pete’s Big Mouth” a big success, … thanks for taking us along!
I can not wait to hear the show on making weed legal! I want to hear lots of facts and not heresay. We have heard all the bullshit before. I always thought we should not but lately it seems to make more sense. Not much different than alcohol to me.
So bring it on!

Hi Pete,
First I want to comment how much I enjoy your show. I don’t often listen to talk radio programs, but since I have discovered your show, I make a point of tuning in to hear your discussions.
Though I agree generally with your varying perspectives, I will have to respectfully challenge your perceptions/criticisms of Walmart - though I understand full well it is in vogue to be a "Walmart-Hater", since they’re the big-guy who (seemingly) puts the little-guy out of business, pays their employees low salaries and inadequate healthcare, and the often discussed practice of outsourcing goods to foreign competitors. Each of these criticisms can be challenged and discussed in context.
However, I want to point out that alternative grocery retailers, such as Safeway or Costco, are no different in nature. By avoiding Walmart, and choosing alternative grocery outlets, the consumer often runs into the same dilemma that they were attempting to avoid initially - and all the while believing they are doing "greater-good" by not choosing Walmart, they have fallen into yet another trap of a company that (purportedly) mistreats their employees, outsources their goods, and avoids providing significant healthcare to their workers.
But there are a few points I’d like to make. First, it is generally ignored (especially by anti-Walmart advocates) the efforts that Walmart has initiated to address the environment. Here’s a brief synopsis from Wikipedia.com: In October 2005, Wal-Mart announced it would implement several environmental measures to increase energy efficiency. The primary goals included spending $500 million a year to increase fuel efficiency in Wal-Mart’s truck fleet by 25% over three years and double it within ten, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% in seven years, reduce energy use at stores by 30%, and cut solid waste from U.S. stores and Sam’s Clubs by 25% in three years. CEO Lee Scott said that Wal-Mart’s goal was to be a "good steward for the environment" and ultimately use only renewable energy sources and produce zero waste.[22] The company also designed three new experimental stores in McKinney, Texas, Aurora, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada. with wind turbines, photovoltaic solar panels, biofuel-capable boilers, water-cooled refrigerators, and xeriscape gardens.[23] Despite much criticism of its environmental record, Wal-Mart took a few steps in a positive direction, which included becoming the biggest seller of organic milk and the biggest buyer of organic cotton in the world, as well as reducing packaging and energy costs.[24] Wal-Mart also spent nearly a year working with outside consultants to discover the company’s total environmental impact and find where they could improve. They discovered, for example, that by eliminating excess packaging on their toy line Kid Connection, they could save $2.4 million a year in shipping costs, 3,800 trees, and a million barrels of oil.[24] Wal-Mart has also recently created its own electric company in Texas, Texas Retail Energy, and plans to supply its stores with cheap power purchased at wholesale prices. Through this new venture, the company expects to save $15 million annually and also lays the groundwork and infrastructure to sell electricity to Texas consumers in the future.[25]
In addition, it has been shown that in 2006 the American consumer saved $287 billion in 2006, which equated to $957 per person or $2,500. I’m sure in 2008 it has substantially increased, especially when you consider the fact that Walmart offers $4 prescription drugs. Yes, $4. In a time when the cost of filling up the tank in your car costs $50-60-70, and health insurance costs are wildly out of control, I welcome saving $1,000+ a year on my grocery bill, and hundreds of dollars on my medical bills. They also offer a "Smart Care" facility that provides you with immediate medical attention with a standard, flat fee. Something you could never get from your local doctors office, even if you have health insurance.
If I was to do my shopping at a locally owned grocery store (in Boulder, Colorado where I live) I would have to spend hundreds of extra dollars, each month. Hundreds. Is it worth paying $4.50 for a gallon of milk so you can say you shopped locally? I need to actually survive before I have the luxury of over-spending on my grocery/medical bills so I can support my 1 local grocery store.
Couple that with the fact that 95% of all the produce Walmart offers is bought from local farms.
It’s not all cut and dry, black and white as many would believe.
Sincerely,
Justin
You failed to mention that outside of the produce that the majority of items they sell are either produced in sweathouse-like conditions from a nation that will have no problem seeing us bankrupt in the future…
While it is admirable that they are trying to protect air quality, I could care less when it is China who is billowing out trillions of tons of greenhouse gases in an unregulated (environmentally) economy while you and I can save a buck or two on some items versus those produced domestically… And not to mention that those produced domestically provide for local jobs, local tax income, etc…
