Pat Robertson spoke to God
Pat Robertson spoke to God again. He apparently makes these chats annual traditions. I hadn’t realized it until this year. As I don’t follow much news about him. Unfortunately CNN.com wasted 5 minutes of my day by posting an article about the predictions God told him to make.
Pat Robertson said Tuesday God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in “mass killing” late in 2007. Two years ago Robertson predicted that Bush would have victory after victory in his second term. He said Social Security reform proposals would be approved and Bush would nominate conservative judges to federal courts.
Other predictions he had made that came true were that Luke Skywalker would succeed in destroying the Death Star on May 25, 1977. Robertson also predicted that The Smurfs would run for a total of 9 seasons and that e coli would be found in spinach this year.
Roberts was quoted as saying “I have a relatively good track record,” and “Sometimes I miss.” Immedaitely after saying that a guy who looks just like me punched him directly in his crazy head full of lies and trickery.
This article was funny, but it seems it was based on a false impression. The CNN info about Robertson’s speech doesn’t agree with Robertson’s summary of it. You can glean the CNN info from Robertson’s statements, but only by ignoring the major thrust and the Robertson disclaimers. So either Robertson changed his mind, or CNN got it wrong.
Here’s a CBN link (i.e. horse’s mouth)…

For the record, as a Christian, I’m embarrassed that Robertson calls himself one as well. To describe him in a word would be “misguided” at best…
Just another back woods ignorant bleeding other ignorants dry for their money. I heard him speak out one time that Harry Potter was evil and we should not let our children read it yet he also said Lord of the Rings was okay. Are they both not about magic? Him and Billy Graham are both nuts! Feeding off the fear of people afraid they will not make it to heaven. Paying them money will not get you their either!
Thing is, you can talk to God too.
Ant
ps, but you have to keep your big f’ing mouths shut long enough to listen
This may seem very wrong but I will sigh in relief when the old man dies. The only thing I can agree with McCain on is that he and Falwell are the agents of intolerance.
If this God dude could speak to people, why all the division amongst the different sects? Why conflicting accounts? I may not be a Christian nor a part of any religion, but damn.. I thought people would see this by now in their own playground.
Remember; God spoke to David Koresh and Charles Manson
Here’s my experience…..there’s no church just called "Church". It’s always "church of this" or " the something church". That’s because there have been lot’s of people going to church say "that’s fuckin stupid", and start their own.
Also, many times I’ve tried to believe. I get in good with the preacher ’cause I’m trying. Then when he figures out he’s not getting any of my money, I’m no longer relevant.
I also don’t trust anyone who’s sole objective or motivation for a particular action….is because a book told him so and all his buddies are doing it. How ri-god-damn-diculous.
If i use one more punctuation mark may god strike me dead …
So I was listening to today’s show (April 25th…not the 26th!) And Pete was asking about religion and said, come clean be honest you won’t get struck by lightning. Well, I didn’t get struck but as I came into Davenport, Iowa it was lightning after Pete said that! I wasn’t worried about getting struck, just damn ironic! Pete I know understand and respect your agnostic life, and also know that this is a 3 hour radio show, but when someone has an opinion on religion that you requested, hear them out. You seem to interupt on this topic that you may not agree with or understand (two things I’ll admit for myself, but still have my beliefs). I love the show and thought I would point that out since you may not notice it yourself. I also love how you talk about religion and are open to your thoughts on it as well. Have a great weekend all.
