I’ve listened for weeks about the candidates, their perceptions about the crisis and about the economic woes of America but I have never heard anyone dig deep enough to see the cause.

The failure of mortgages lies in illegal immigrants, the failure of healthcare lies in illegal immigrants.

For six long years I worked for a local mortgage company and have witntessed numerous
applicants, hispanic in origin quaify for thousands of dollars from our federal government in the form of down payment assistance programs, sometimes 10% per loan. Many used social security numbers that belonged to someone else to qualify. False letters from employers stating bogus lengths of employment and doctored pay stubs stating imcome that wasn’t true. The american dream becamea pipe dream for these illegals and now a nightmare for our neighborhoods….

How do I know about the health care….. my daughter is an admitting clerk in several ER departments and when checking people in has run across fake and bogus ID’s most latinos have 3-5 last names and use them in different order to get admitted. They never pay theior bills and come in groupsof six or more asking medical advice for everyone in the room distracting the doctors ans nursing staff as other family members strip the room of gause, bandaides, medicine and gloves all used by the hospital staff. This pilfering has cost our taxpayers millions of dollars in increased healthcare.

We can blame Wall Street, We can blame the government. but we need to close our borders,
and follow the money trail of who is profiting
from open borders… This is the only solution that makes sense. I’d like to hear what others think about this and what our candidates intend on doing about the immigration issue…

    Nick_from_IA Reply:

Wow. So the countries problems lie in laps of illegal immigrants? It could not possibily be the whitecollar criminals that took cooked the books then took golden parachutes? Do you honestly believe that these loan brokers or loan companies did not get paid for making these loans that you claim illegals were getting? Are you saying that these illegal aliens outsmarted these great companies? Amazing. You know, you are probably right, I bet it was the illegals. It was the people who come here to make better lives for thier familes. The people who pick the crops, bus the tables, and do all the jobs you won’t. It is the people who are extremly Catholic, and believe in the family. You are so right these are the villans here. You figures it out, good for you.

Well said, Nick. Kathleen didn’t cite any sources, but we’re supposed to believe her and her anecdotal observations. Zero evidence, just assertions. Luckily I can rely on astute listeners/readers like yourself so I don’t have to check the blog personally every hour. And also luckily, when one’s beliefs are as erroneous as hers, they kind of self-refute.

    Nick_from_IA Reply:

Thanks. And thank you for not commenting on my many typos. Seriously though, I am tired of people trying to divide this country. It is really getting bad. I live in rural Iowa and I have heard friedns, co-workers, and nieghbors all use racial and social slander in recent months. I guess I am just loosing my ablity to hold in my frustration. To think people think we are “post racial”.

    Charles_Atl Reply:

I lived with illegal immigrants and day laborers for almost a year doing graduate work in Anthropology. I must of lucked up and gotten the best group of illegals in America according to Kathleen. We were in a 2 bedroom apartment with 10 of us, we slept 4 or 5 to a room in sleeping bags. The guys went to work, came home got something to eat, went to another job, came home and went to sleep. The only thing criminal in this case were employers ripping them off by denying some of their hours and never paying overtime. One guy fell of some scaffolding and cracked his head open and the company denied that he worked for them. Bad actions run both ways, don’t make these people out to be the scapegoats.

    Fettered Boons Reply:

One thing I cannot wrap my mind around is how illegals come here and protest as opposed to standing up in their own countries. “Pancho” Villa and Porfino Diaz would do a facepalm in their graves.

Also, they know what they are getting themselves into. Illegals do not have constitutional rights.

    Big Brother Reply:

Oh yeah, Charles, that was a special group you got assigned to. All of the others are ungrateful criminals. You just didn’t meet them.

It’s kind of amazing actually how everyone who actually knows undocumented immigrants things they make better Americans than most citizens, but boy do people who don’t know they really fear and hate them. Sad. Thanks for your insights.

Big Brother, don’t you understand having ANY empathy for illegal immigrants is anti-American?
Can tell you aren’t from a small rural town!

    Big Brother Reply:

Well you know we went to school in a small, rural town. And my little bro likes to make it sound like that’s where we’re from. But, no, we are really from a small city, and Mama Mary has kind of a big-city mindset when it comes to diversity. And boy does she love her some Mexicans…

    steve, jasper Reply:

Well, it must not be the kind of small pro-American town our darling Sarah was referring to otherwise you’d be on the McCain/Palin train. What a shame. Luck of the draw I guess.
As far as the big city mindset, looks like Sarah was right again because that is just the kind of environment where one can learn to love Mexicans!
    Bad, bad, bad!
Small, segregated white bread towns are what’s good about this country. The kind of places where people can all think and look the same. The kind of place where one can learn to be a “true” American.

(I just had little vomit in my mouth)

    Mama Mary Reply:

Tonight Chisel D and I went to the high school football game in that small town where Brian and Pete went to school. The opposing team was from another small town outside the city. Both teams consisted of only white players. Much different from the city school district where I worked. I must admit my Mexican students were some of the best—extremely polite and well-behaved and very bright. Must have been legal!

Sadly, I think there are millions of people in this country that have never experienced a real connection to another race or culture.
Say what you want about Europe but at least they know different cultures just by being so close to each other and having to relate to survive economically.
We have been isolated for a long, long time. Especially people in the Midwest, south and so called “heartland”.

I voted today! I’m in one of the states that understands one day to vote is ridiculous.
Doesn’t matter to me about any “October Surprise”.
If one occurs it is just a political ploy in my opinion.
Comes down to Old vs New as far as I’m concerned so enjoy folks! Election time has finally arrived!

I voted Monday and was surprised by how packed it was here in Ga. On the news they stated that 1/4 of all registered voters have already voted here in GA, that’s around a million people. In my area it has really come down to a race race with the black part of town blanketed with Obama signs and nothing but McCain Palin signs in my neighborhood. I wouldn’t dare put up an Obama sign in my yard. I would have 20 rednecks shooting up my house with in hours, especially since it is Nascar week here!

    I’m feeling ranty.

The income for John and Cindy McCain is over $6.2 million dollars per year, according to their tax records. They own eight residential properties worth a collective $14 million dollars, plus a condo for their daughter worth nearly $750,000. They have maids and gardeners, etc., which costs the McCain’s close to $300,000 per year in wages. They own 14 vehicles (and McCain mentioned to a reporter once that he could not remember the last time he had to pump his own gas). At the Republican National Convention when John McCain was named the Republican candidate, his wife Cindy wore an outfit that cost $300,000 dollars. Recently, the RNC took $150,000 from voters’ donations and bought Sarah Palin and her family a new wardrobe at places like Neiman Marcus and Saks 5th Ave. While still Governor of Alaska, Palin cooked the books so that her office would pick up the $21,000 tab to fly her kids to watch their dad’s snowmobile race.

And the MCCAIN/PALIN ticket is the champion of Joe Everyman? McCain understands the hardships regular Americans are suffering? Palin portrays herself as the average Hockey Mom? Are you serious?

And somehow Obama is an elitist who’s out of touch with regular Americans? Really? He and his wife own one house. And one car. His suits cost about a grand. For her Larry King interview, his wife Michelle wore a $56 dress.

    Tessa from WV Reply:

If you gave me a hundred and fifty thousand dollars, I wouldnt buy clothes, I’d buy a house. If you told me I HAD to spend $150k on clothes, I’d shop at walmart, ross, maybe a few shops in the mall. A couple years ago I was a consultant, and wore suits because I take owning a business seriously. I had some kick-ass outfits, and can guarentee I never paid more than $20 for them. Just because you have the cash doesn’t mean you still can’t be smart about it.
You can’t tell me the woman didn’t already have a wardrobe full of outfits that were perfectly presentable for her to wear, whatever and wherever she did and went.

OK, you got me! Just 51.7% according to the statistics in the last chart. Which is a majority, slight but a majority.
As far as I’m concerned, if a citizen doesn’t vote then he/she is stupid and has no right to complain about anything. You might even say they are anti-American and unpatriotic.
So, no, if you are among the 48.3% who do vote, then you’re not stupid and I apologize for my generalization.
But, 51.7% are stupid! My opinion.

Everyone asks; “Why do we love Israel?” We (US government and American Corporations) love Israel because the US Government takes US Taxpayer dollars (several billion each year) and gives it to the Israeli government. The Israeli government then “launders” the money by giving it to American high tech corporations, such as Intel, to build and refurbish manufacturing plants. Israel is in effect, the USA’s 51st state. It’s 7 million people mostly work for US Corporations. Israel, with the help of our tax dollars and US corporate interests, has taken thousands of high tech jobs. Israel has one of the smallest populations and is one of the smallest countires in size, but has the 4th largest air force in the world with at 362 F-16’s and more than 500 nuclear weapons.
This is the “WHY” These facts are no secret. You can find them on Israeli websites as well as American websites. You know why we took over Iraq, now you know why we defend Israel. The American Fascist way is evil, isn’t it?

Which country in the Middle East actually possesses nuclear weapons?
    Israel.

Which country in the Middle East refuses to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty?
    Israel.

Which country in the Middle East refuses to allow international inspections of its nuclear facilities?
    Israel.

Which countries in the Middle East have called for the region to be a nuclear-free zone?
    The Arab countries and Iran.

Which country in the Middle East occupies land belonging to other people?
Israel, which occupies a piece of Lebanon, a larger piece of Syria, East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza.

Which country in the Middle East has for 60 years refused to allow refugees to return to their homes and refused to consider compensation to them for their lost property?
    Israel.

Which country has roads on which citizens who are Arab may not drive and housing developments where Arabs may not live?
    Israel.

Which country in the region has violated more United Nations resolutions than any other?

    Israel.
The United States has on more than one occasion gone to war ostensibly to enforce U.N. Security Council resolutions, but when it comes to resolutions directed against Israel, the U.S. is like the amoral monkey that sees, hears and says nothing. That raises the question of who’s the dog and who’s the tail?

Israel is in fact a great place to launder American taxpayer dollars. HUH? The US Government gives the Israeli government billions each year and the Israeli government gives it to American high tech corporations for renovation and construction of new factories. Then 90% of Israeli exports come back to America. Look inside your computer - If there is an Intel chip in it, it was probably made in Israel. American corporations employee more than 60% of Israeli workers - essentially stealing thousands of American high tech jobs. “Israel is no angel.” you bet it isn’t. It is basically the USA’s 51 state, complete with a corrupt government just like America.

    Auto Bailout:

So now instead of just buying the car we also have to subsidize it?
I feel for the workers but come on! I have to pay $20K plus for a pile of crap that is basically a disposable commodity plus help prop up the company?
What is wrong with this picture?
Put those auto workers to work building solar panels, wind turbines and other renewable products that will be the future money makers.
How about a small fuel cell that can take the place of a 3-5kw gasoline generator at a reasonable price?
That would be a money maker and start building a hydrogen fueling infrastructure.
We have a history of being very short sighted.

    I’m curious.
There’s been allot of news about the KKK lately for obvious reasons.

    P.S.
They also go by “White Supremest” and “Skin Heads” but they are all essentially the same.

Again, why no terrorist label being applied to them?
They can go by any name they want but seems to me they fit into the terrorist category.
The media should start calling them that.

yes definitely, when they take violent action against someone, they are certainly terrorists
