Thursday Open Thread

I took the day off from the show and the site today, but here’s an open thread for you guys to gnaw on for a while. Tell me what I missed today… Enjoy!

Weekend Open Thread

Before anyone hijacks my other posts for discussions of unrelated topics, I’m throwing out an open thread so you can talk about politics, news items, ball-shaving, whatever. As usual, the only rule is civility — topically speaking, anything goes.

Monday Open Thread

Okay, here we go again. And, sadly, I once again have to request commenters remain civil and respectful. I also wonder how much better this blog might be if frequent/avid commenters held back a little and let others chime in without having to first sift through 50+ comments.

Today’s show discussed how we treat each other, the so-called “War on Terror” and the Iraq War.

This would also be a great place to bring up new topics you might want to hear discussed on an upcoming show.

Weekend Open Thread

Okay, all you PBM junkies out there, if you can’t wait for Monday’s show, feel free to post some topic ideas and get a discussion going here. Let’s please just keep the comments substantive and civil. Other than that, anything goes.

Monday Open Thread

Pete talked about SO MUCH on the show today, I had trouble picking out anything to blog about in particular. So let’s hear from you, the listeners/readers, on the topics covered today, including the war (of course), the mortgage crisis, gas prices, the stimulus package, and the prospect of Blogcasters Joe and Alex arm-wrestling on the air.

Independent Thinking

If you’re not outraged, you’re not paying attentionPete and his listeners are spouting off today. My little brother gets this way every so often when he sees how much back-asswards stuff is going on. Who hasn’t felt that way? If you pay attention to what’s going on, you probably feel that way a lot. What’s wrong with this country? Is Pete’s cynicism unhealthy or right on? Do you share it? What, if anything, gives you hope?
