Pete Dominick is best known as the host of Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s live daily shows Stand UP! with Pete Dominick on the new POTUS channel and Comedy By Request with Pete Dominick on the Raw Dog comedy channel. Pete also hosts Getting Late with Pete Dominick where he interviews actors and comedians such as Louie CK, Bob Saget, Lewis Black and Larry the Cable Guy.
Pete’s first love and and other job is stand-up comedy. He is one of the hardest-working and most-booked comics on the NYC club scene, where he regularly works all of the top clubs, including The Comedy Cellar, Gotham, The Comic Strip, Caroline’s, Comix, Stand Up NY, Dangerfield’s and The Laugh Factory.
Pete’s act is largely inspired by his personal life as well as his interest in politics and social issues. Keeping up with current events is a key component of Pete’s act.
Pete’s quick wit, instant likeability and unique way of engaging any audience have made him one of the most sought after M.C.’s at the New York Clubs. That talent has also found Pete working at his third Job as the audience warm-up comic every night on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, as well as over 100 episodes of The Daily Show.
Pete also regularly opens for The Howard Stern Show’s Artie Lange and has appeared with him at the 2007 NY Comedy Festival and The HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.
In addition to working the clubs in New York, warming up television studio audiences and hosting 2 radio shows every day, Pete has remained very popular where he started performing: Colleges. His high energy and flexibility has found him work at over 250 colleges and universities across the country the last 6 years. He is booked and re-booked at orientations and as the host of talent and other variety shows at campuses nationwide.
Pete was selected to perform at the 2006 Just For Laugh’s Montreal Comedy Festival on the “New Faces of Comedy” show, one of the highest honors any young comedian can achieve. Pete has also done stand-up on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and NBC’s reality shows Last Comic Standing and The Apprentice.
